Pork Producer Cooling Tower
Cooling Tower, Water & Air Treatment, France
A premier pork producer in France employing some 2600 personnel with annual revenues in excess of $1.7 Billion was experiencing difficulties maintaining their cooling tower water within acceptable levels for bacteria and Legionella. They had recorded CFU/mg levels in the order of 10,000 and needed to get below 1,000 to comply with government regulations. High chloride levels were also causing concern for corrosion. Tower service water measuring 17 m3 was supplied by RO treated water from an onsite wastewater treatment plant. The Simpson installation allowed the Company to eliminate all chemicals, reduce bacteria counts to acceptable levels and enable higher cycles of concentration and major water savings via lover chloride concentration levels.
